Fireworks In The Square
Professional fireworks display every Thursday evening from June 20 – Late August. A fun event for the entire family. Approximately 9:45pm next to the Pier (sponsored by Palace Playland and The Pier). Also large display for the July 4th Show!

2013 Special Events

January 1 – 25th Annual Lobster Dip...
W2013 marks the 25th Anniversary Dip on New Year’s Day. Maine’s original and largest ocean dip. Watch or join in as over 300 participants dip into the chilly waters as part of a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Maine. Registration starts at 9:00am and Dip at noon sharp. January 20 --- 5th Annual Frozen 4 Miler Race…

March 16 --- 7th Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza...
Great family fun for all ages featuring a parade, Easter egg hunt, photos with the OOB Bunny costumed character, animal balloons and other fun-filled games. July 27 – August 2 --- Salvation Army Pier Ministry...

August 3 --- Illumination Night - Ocean Park...

December 8 --- 21st Annual Celebrate the Season by the Sea...
Annual holiday event with horse-drawn hay wagon and trolley rides, face painting, entertainment, hot chocolate and food. Frosty and Rudolph will be on hand. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrive on a fire engine, making this a very special tradition and holiday event. Parade starts at 1pm on Old Orchard Street. FMI: 207-934-2500.
